GEAUX Engineering - Welcome Week

2024 & 2025​

  • I was assigned 3-5 first-year students to help them design a project

  • They learned to budget efficiently, go through the engineering design process, and create a convincing elevator pitch describing their experience and device

  • I monitored the teamwork/interactions to ensure effective time management and mediated group discussions

MedLife Abroad - San Jose, Costa Rica

May 2025​

  • Shadowed an OBGYN, two primary care physicians, a pharmacist, and a dietician over a three-day period where we provided basic care in mobile clinics

  • Our group split up into two smaller groups that then proceeded to visit a total of six different communities (many of which were located near heavily trafficked areas i.e., airport)

  • We constructed a cement pathway through the largest community we visited by mixing rocks and dirt, pouring the water, and letting it set

MedLife Abroad - Lima, Peru

June 2024

  • Shadowed a dentist, OBGYN, two primary care physicians, and a medical education expert​ in a three-day mobile clinic

  • Visited three different communities that were all a product of land invasion on large hills of dirt and sand

  • We provided maintenance on the main method of transportation for the land invasion communities: the staircase, which is about 200 steps tall
